Well, went back to school today.
Thanks to all the year 7s, my bus is PACKED. I got a seat next to Kathryn,[My stop is the third stop]and when we reached the stop after mine, there was only a few seats left next to people. I had to sit on Kathryn's lap so Casey could sit down beside us. Tiffany [Casey's older sister who is in year 12, so she's a senior] had to sit on Casey's lap. Every seat had at least 3 people on it by the time we got to school.
Gosh.
I didn't meet any new kids today. I said hello to a few, but there were no specifically awesome ones that I talked to for ages. At lunch a new girl was standing by herself and I felt really bad so I went to talk to her but she didn't seem really into the conversation so I left her alone. I offered her a seat [My group sits on these silver chairs under a sheltered area along with a large group of people in our year], but she declined. I felt less bad after that because since she said no, I had done all I could.
I was sitting next to Blake [He's a good friend of mine. Nothing more.] And Tiffany [Not Casey's sister. Tiffany in my year. She's my friend.] and started going on and on about how me and Blake would be 'so good' together. We got enough of that crap last year. I thought it would have all blown over by now.
I stopped her by declaring that: 'That would be like me going out with Bronte!'
I gained a few laughs and it also shut Tiffany up, so it was a good comment on my part.
It's so hot here. Ugh. That's one of the reasons I don't like summer. It's just so hot alllll the time.
After school while we were waiting for the bus to come [My bus is basically the last bus, so it comes about half an hour after the end of school] and Casey sniffed the air. She said she could smell cigarette smoke. I shrugged it off and went to talk to Hannah. When I went back to Kirralee, Kathryn and Casey, Casey declared that she could smell it now that I was back.
I didn't think I smelt like smoke.
After alot of; 'Amber, what have you been doing?' jokes, Kathryn realized that it was the smell of my hair dye mixed with sweat.
That was interesting.
On the bus that afternoon, I sat on Hannah's lap and two year 7s sat beside us. One of the year 7s had a twin. I was grateful of the fact that one of them had dyed their hair.
That afternoon, Kathryn came over because nobody was home at her house. We walked down to the shops and did nothing. I had a Custard Tart.
I love custard tarts.
